Evangel’s Young Adults Ministry is a group that consists of young adults between ages 18-35, formed to grow together in understanding God’s Word, fellowship, discipleship, & Gospel outreach. Our hope, desire, & mission is to honor the Lord by “making disciples that make disciples!” (Matthew 28:18-20)

Throughout the year, we meet on Sundays at 6:30 pm at Pastor Jung’s home to have our main young adult gathering. On most nights, we have dinner, Bible study time, & game time afterwards. 

There are always informal activities going on within young adults throughout the week (meals, games, movies, etc.). Something that we have been fostering is more one on one discipleship time amongst the Young Adults. Pastor Jung and a few others within the group are more than excited to meet with you one on one and study the Bible with you if you ever desire to do so. Come join us any time! 

Pastor Jung Shin was born and raised in South Korea until the age of 8, and eventually moved to the United States in 2009 to attend Covenant College. He met his wonderful and beautiful wife in college who also grew up overseas as a missionary kid in Honduras. Their hearts aligned in wanting to pursue missions and ministry together. After obtaining a Master's degree in preaching and teaching Trinity Evangelical Divinity School they moved to Youngstown in 2017 and Jung started to serve on staff at Evangel.

Currently, his role at Evangel consists of leading worship on Sundays, pastoring youth and young adults and discipling people wherever he can! "I love my church and I love what God is doing at Evangel. I also love meeting college students from all around the world."
